ANPR Process
Automatic Number Plate Recognition

VEHICLE DETECTION
The Vehicle enters the forecourt and is instantly scanned by the High Resolution ANPR Camera.

NUMBER PLATE DETECTION
The image is immediately compared to the 'Pay For Fuel' LIVE database which is downloaded to the garage system.

PUMP SHUT DOWN VIA PC MONITOR UNIT
If the vehicle is known within the scheme, the system will alarm, letting the attendant know before the vehicle has pulled up to the pump. It is then up to the discretion of the attendant what to do next. The most popular option is to refuse to activate the pump forcing the vehicle to leave. Another option is to take the prepayment for a fixed volume of fuel.

POTENTIAL POLICE INTERVENTION
Alternatively, the vehicle is clear and can proceed to refuel. Should this vehicle subsequently drive off without paying, the attendant has pictorial evidence of the vehicle being onsite (both ANPR close up and camera overview). This should be enough evidence to report the crime to the police.
THE FORCOURT NETWORK SOLUTION
Should the same situation arise for a no means to pay, again the evidence will be in a presentable format for the police if the driver does not return within the allotted time to pay.
In both cases, under ordinary circumstances, the data for the offender will be kept on the forecourts system to alarm should the driver return.
This is where the pay for fuel scheme comes into its own. The data regarding the drive off is forwarded by the forecourt attendant to the pay for fuel data centre. Here it is added to the database of offenders and downloaded to all the garages within the scheme. The result of this is simple, If a drive off occurs fifty miles away in another completely un related garage forecourt and the following day the offender attempts to get fuel from any other garage within the scheme, he will be identified and stopped. This also applies to no means to pay offenders who do not return to pay.
THE PAY FOR FUEL SCHEME
The Pay for Fuel scheme is an all-inclusive package which means when you join we arrange everything including the installation, the maintenance,
running costs, signage, 24hr support and help lines (no hidden extra cost).
The scheme logs offenders onto the system from day one and will overnight pro-actively stop these offences and costly interruptions to your business.
The second side to 'Pay For Fuel' is the Collections.
